Our Story

Horizon Coach Lines is a fully owned subsidiary of Transportation Management Services, the world’s leader in transportation consulting services.

With offices in 16 locations, Horizon is now the third largest privately owned coach bus service in North America.

1995

Transportation Management Services (TMS) founded by Frank Sherman and Patrick Personne to provide comprehensive services to handle the logistics of complex events.

First contract: Comdex ’95 with 215,000 attendees.

2003

TMS founded Cabana Coaches to operate in South Florida.

2005

TMS won Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) to support relief efforts for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

TMS created TMS Logistics to focus on logistical support and vehicles to states impacted by those hurricanes.

2008

TMS listed on GSA Schedule and currently provide emergency services to FEMA and several individual states.

2009

TMS acquired Gray Line of Seattle and Horizon Coach Lines of Vancouver.

TMS acquired Anchor Cruise Agencies and Gateway Guest Services. Sold the cruise-related business to Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services.

TMS introduced Horizon Coach Lines brand for TMS bus operations.

2012

TMS expanded Horizon Coach Lines regional offices to 14 markets.

2013

TMS opened new Horizon Coach Lines offices in Las Vegas and Washington, DC, serving a total of 16 markets.

Horizon Coach Lines named 3rd largest transportation services company in North America.
